Enterprise Application Developer

Location: Hybrid or On Site in Arcade, NY

The Enterprise Application Developer will work with business users and other IT team members to create, test, deploy and maintain software solutions that extend and enhance Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Salesforce CRM and other integrated systems.

Primary Duties

  • Works with business users, business analysts and system analysts to analyze requirements and transform them into technical designs
  • Writes, tests, debugs and documents software
  • Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system problems; designs and implements fixes
  • Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications
  • Understands table structures and transaction flows in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and other integrated systems
  • Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the systems
  • Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to stakeholders
  • Maintains Dev Ops environment and software repository
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices
  • Works with application development partners to manage the SDLC and ensure proper coding standards and testing procedures in adherence to internal framework
  • Other duties as assigned

Primary Competencies

Required

  • Working knowledge of coding and programming of at least one programming language, with SQL & C/AL and AL in a Dynamics BC environment preferred
  • Data integration understanding through Mulesoft
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change, learn quickly and creatively solve new problems

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Central data requirements and processes within manufacturing and distribution environments
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio
  • Working knowledge of Azure Devops (VSTS)
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Mulesoft

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or other relevant field
  • Three or more years’ coding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution business
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the job including:
    • Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to use office, phone and computer equipment
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
